Retiring from Quilting
Some of you may know that I struggle with chronic pain. It has slowly affected my quilting so that I had to adjust what type of longarm quilting I did, how often I could quilt etc. to prevent increasing my pain levels.
I have come to the point where I simply can’t stand and work the longarm for long enough to finish quilts, what used to take a day now takes weeks.
This has been a hard thing to come to terms with, I have always been busy and enjoyed working on customer quilts. Unfortunately I have finally decided to no longer quilt for hire. I barely have the ability to work on my own quilts.
The website has changed to be a blog and shopping pages. There are quilt blocks and hopefully I will be able to get quilt tops listed soon also. Digital downloads are also available. Check out my shop if you haven’t and let me know what you think of it.
I know I have been mostly absent from the blog, the pandemic has had a toll on many of us, depression sets in and I find it hard to focus on things. I hope to get back to writing articles about quilting, finding interesting things to share etc.
