Quilting Podcasts and how to listen to them
What do you listen to or watch while you are sewing?
Or do you like quiet while you sew?
Do you like to have the radio or TV on when quilting? I tend to either listen to audiobooks, podcasts or sometimes I will put on quiltville.com quiltcam
I am not associated with any of the podcasts or quiltville.com, but I think they are great resources for us.
I get audiobooks from my local library; I use an app called Overdrive that connects to the library and I download the books to my phone. I believe you can download with iPhone and Android (I have an Android at present) it is free and they have a great selection of books to borrow. You can also subscribe to Audible.com (not an affiliate) and for a monthly fee get to download books that you can listen to as often as you like. You can go to the library and borrow audiobooks on cd and transfer them to your phone or listen with your cd player but I find it easier just to download them from the internet.
September 30th, 2019 international podcast day
If you would like to try podcasts, this is a great month to do it in honor of International Podcast Day
Are you wondering what a podcast is? It’s like talk radio but on-demand and it can be video or audio. And there are some great sewing and quilting podcasts.
You can listen on your phone or even a computer, and many are also a video so you can watch. There are podcast apps for all phones and you just need to find one you like, or go to the specific podcast you are interested in and listen from their site. You can listen to past ones and subscribe to catch new ones as they come out.
A few podcasts
I did a quick search and found the following online. I haven’t listened to all of them so can’t tell you how good they are but I will definitely listen in as I have the time.
Do you listen to podcasts? If you have favorite quilting podcasts you listen to that I don’t have listed let me know and I will add them to the list.
